Fit is the one thing we'd rather you get right before you order than fix with a return. Our sizing is genuinely mixed — we don't force every style into the same label — so this guide explains exactly why, and gives you the real measurements behind every piece.
Why don't all your pieces use the same size label?
Because each style is a different wholesale garment with its own real construction, and we label it honestly rather than forcing a uniform system. Most of our women's pieces are one-size garments, but "one size" can mean very different things depending on the actual cut: a style with a full elastic waistband fits a wider range of bodies than one with a fixed, non-stretch seam, and an oversized drape style fits differently again from a fitted silhouette. So instead of labeling everything "M/L" by default, we measured each style flat and assigned the label that's actually accurate: M/L, One Size, or S/M, plus a note on elastic or stretch wherever it's relevant. Our two men's styles are the exception — they come in a genuine S–3XL size run, so they're sized like a normal graded garment rather than one-size.
What does an "M/L" label mean on your product pages?
It means the style is cut generously through the body, with the finished flat measurements shown in the table below, and it works well for anyone whose measurements land at or under those numbers with a bit of drape room to spare. Most of our blouses, our strap dress, and several of our skirts and pants carry this label. If a style also has an elastic waistband (noted per item below), it flexes further beyond the flat measurement; if it doesn't, treat the flat measurement as closer to a hard upper bound.
What does "One Size" mean, and who does it suit?
It means the garment is cut deliberately oversized so its drape — not a close fit — is what makes it work on a wide range of bodies. Our The Meadow Ruffle Linen Blouse and The Everyday Linen House Dress both use this cut: the flat bust measurement looks large on paper (32.3″ and 20.9″ respectively) precisely because the piece is meant to hang loose rather than skim the body, so it suits a broader range of sizes than a fitted M/L piece would.
What does "S/M" mean, and how is it different from M/L?
It means that specific style runs smaller than our other one-size pieces, so we sized it more conservatively rather than mislabeling it M/L. Right now this applies to just one style, the Tie-Waist Linen Skirt, which has a smaller flat waist measurement than our other skirts and only elastic at the back rather than all the way around. If you normally wear a size up from our other M/L pieces, check the exact waist measurement below before ordering this one specifically.
Real measurements — every women's style
All measurements are taken flat (so double the number for full circumference where noted) and listed in inches. "Length" is the full garment length from the highest point to the hem.

How are your men's pieces sized?
Both men's styles come in a real, graded S–3XL size run, not a single one-size label — pick a size the same way you would with any standard sized garment. Use the chart below, or the size chart shown directly on each product page, to match your measurements to the right size.
| Size | The Men's Linen Trouser — Length / Width | The Men's Linen Short — Length / Width |
|---|---|---|
| S | 37.0″ / 21.7″ | 18.5″ / 19.3″ |
| M | 37.8″ / 22.4″ | 18.9″ / 20.1″ |
| L | 38.6″ / 23.2″ | 19.3″ / 20.9″ |
| XL | 39.4″ / 24.0″ | 19.7″ / 21.7″ |
| 2XL | 40.2″ / 24.8″ | 20.1″ / 22.4″ |
| 3XL | 41.0″ / 25.6″ | 20.5″ / 23.2″ |
What's the best way to check if a one-size piece will fit before ordering?
Measure a similar piece you already own flat, then compare it directly to the numbers in the table above — rather than relying on the size label by itself. Lay a well-fitting top or bottom flat and measure across the bust or waist, and the full length, then compare those numbers to the style you're considering. This is more reliable than assuming your usual size carries over between brands, especially between an M/L piece and the smaller S/M-labeled skirt above.
Does linen fit differently after washing?
Slightly — most of linen's minor shrinkage happens in the first few washes, then it holds steady. See our Linen Care Guide for the exact washing and drying routine that keeps this predictable, so the measurements above stay accurate over time.
What should I do if a piece doesn't fit once it arrives?
Check our current return policy for the specific process — we'd rather help you get the right size or a refund than have a piece sit unworn in a drawer. This applies whether a one-size style doesn't work for your measurements or a men's sized piece needs an exchange.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do your size labels match standard US sizing?
Not exactly - our women's labels (M/L, One Size, S/M) describe each specific garment's real flat measurements rather than a standardized US size chart. Compare the measurements in the table above to a similar piece you already own.
Why is the One Size Meadow Ruffle Linen Blouse's measurement so much larger than the M/L blouses?
Because it's cut oversized on purpose - the drape, not a close fit, is what makes One Size work across a wide range of bodies. A larger flat measurement on an oversized style is intentional, not a different fit.
Do your men's and women's pieces use the same sizing system?
No - our two men's styles come in a real, graded S-3XL size run with their own length/width chart, while our women's styles are individually labeled M/L, One Size, or S/M based on each garment's actual measurements and construction.
Can I exchange a piece for a different size?
Check our current return and exchange policy for the specific process, or contact us directly and we'll help you sort out the right fit.
